Kayla Sarin is the Events Coordinator at The Leadership Institute in Arlington, Virginia.
Kayla’s interest in Conservative politics grew when she joined her family in supporting Matt Bevin’s 2015 campaign for Governor of Kentucky. After Governor Bevin’s election, she served as an intern in his office during the summer of 2017. This exposed her to event planning for the first time as she helped plan the annual Governor’s Local Issues Conference.
After her time with Governor Bevin, Kayla spent the following summer interning in the Communications department at The Heritage Foundation. Here, she had many opportunities, some of which included writing a profile piece on Justice Bolick for The Daily Signal and managing Facebook ads. Through this experience, and her participation in the Young Leader’s Program, Kayla gained an appreciation for the furthering of Conservative principles and ideologies.
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Kayla attended Highlands Latin School and then went on to pursue a Communications degree at Grove City College in Pennsylvania. She spent a semester abroad in Florence, Italy where she had the opportunity to pursue classes in events, communications, and foreign language.
Kayla currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia where she enjoys running, photography, and hiking.
