Television Workshop, Introduction to Techniques

63 days until event begins

What you will learn

Half day, $100 (breakfast and lunch included)

You don't get much lead time before an interview, so take advantage of the time you have now to learn what makes a successful appearance. Don't let your unpreparedness keep you from representing yourself or your organization well.

In this half-day workshop, you'll:

  • learn how to develop your message for TV
  • understand how to speak in sound bites
  • look like a professional on-camera and avoid the mistakes that identify you as a rookie
  • practice in the Institute's TV studio, so you're ready for the real thing

What graduates say

Kevin Lundberg

Kevin Lundberg

State Senator (CO) District 15

"The leadership Institute's hands-on approach was a valuable introduction to the rapid-fire interviews of broadcast journalism. LI gave me some of the tools I needed to adjust to this pressure cooker side of politics."
